Miss Marie and Miss Charlotte div>

For 45 years, Charlotte's School of Dance has been committed to providing a well-rounded dance education to thousands of children and young adults, balanced with enjoyment and encouragement. It is our desire to not only teach our students to dance but to also be a major part in the development of their character and to help them achieve a positive self image.

Director - Charlotte Barron-Jones

Co-Director - Marie Barron

Charlotte's School of Dance was established by Miss Charlotte in Texas in 1963.  Having successfully operated the studio for ten years, she moved to Georgia in 1973 and opened Charlotte's School of Dance in Winder.  A second studio was opened in Loganville in 1985.  Charlotte's School of Dance is family owned and operated. Charlotte Barron Jones, director, along with her daughter, Marie Barron, co-director, are known throughout the area as teachers of exceptional expertise.  They have the rare gift of understanding children and the ability to inspire them to make dance an integral part of their lives.

"Miss Charlotte" and "Miss Marie", as they are affectionately known to all of their students, are members of Dance Educators of America.  Being a certified teacher in this Professional organization requires extensive examinations for membership.  Miss Marie has twenty years of teaching experience to bring to her students and both she and Miss Charlotte regularly continue their knowledge of dance education each year by studying with many of the major dance teachers and choreographers at various dance conventions designed specifically for the professional dance teacher.

Their students have won many national dance awards; and for over 40
years, they have produced annual recital productions enabling their
students to dance and perform in a professional atmosphere.
